Jill Jarvis was born and brought up in Devon.  Her love of the sea and the moors has been a constant inspiration in her work.  Jill's interst in texture and effects of material on paper led her into the world of painting.

Jill has exhibited in various parts of the country and has sold work as far afield as Italy and the USA.

Jill has a degree in Art and Design.  She majored in Textiles and is a Licentiate of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers.

She has a Certificate in Further Education Teaching (CEFT), and qualifications in Art Therapy, having worked for Devon Social Services with special needs adults and children.
